Excess Hospital & Medical:

A medical emergency can ruin even the most well-planned holiday. Excess Hospital & Medical Insurance will protect you from the severe financial burden that a medical emergency can create.  Travel Insurance benefits include:

  • up to $2 million for the emergency treatment of an injury or sickness
  • up to 365 days coverage, (180 days for Senior’s Worldwide Plan)
  • pre-existing conditions (under age 71, travelling anywhere in the world for less than 36 days)
  • emergency medical evacuation via air ambulance
  • coverage for dental emergencies
  • transportation of a family member or close friend to your bedside
  • out-of-pocket expenses incurred by a family member or travelling companion
  • transportation of a family member home (minor children will be escorted)

Optional Plans:

Trip Interruption -
Trip Interruption pays up to $800, $1,500 or $2,000 towards the cost of one-way transportation home in the event of unexpected sickness, injury or death; disaster involving your principal residence; or hospitalization of the person caring for your dependents; necessitating an early or delayed return.

Accidental Death & Disablement (A.D. & D.) -
To help defray rehabilitation and other expenses, A.D. & D. will pay up to $25,000 or $100,000 for accidental loss of life, limb or sight during your trip. Up to 50 per cent is payable as a result of single dismemberment, or loss of sight in one eye. (Does not cover Air Flight Accident.)
